These axes were prestige objects. The jade stones are handed down as valuable heirlooms and are believed to carry mana/power. The wood handle is wrapped in tapa cloth and meticulously bound with bush string. Originally, the handle had a wrapped half coconut at the base. Small losses to tapa.
