This type of drum is used among several ethnic groups in eastern and southern Mindanao, including the Tobli, Blaan, Mansaka and Mandaya. Made from a short length of log with each end then covered with skin. It is used while seated with the drum standing on the ground, allowing one drum head only, to be played.
