Three strands, two medium-sized cobalt “Russian” blue beads, and one strand interspersed with a few accent beads, all on a new handwoven closure. All the beads are old, originally traded all over the world.

While the beads are called Russian blues, they were made in Czechoslovakia. They were produced as canes, faceted, and cut into beads. In Alaska, the Russians traded the beads to the Native Americans for pelts and other needs.
